Bid-to-Win

Event Rules

These are the official rules for every Bid-to-Win event hosted on Futures Insider. They’re incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service, and the same rules govern every event unless a specific event’s page states otherwise.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have a Futures Insider account to place a bid. Creating an account takes a Google sign-in or an emailed magic link — there’s no password and no purchase required to sign up.

Free entry — you pay one shared clearing price only if you win

Entering is free — you are never charged for placing a bid, and no payment ever goes through Futures Insider. Every winner pays the same price: the lowest winning bid, known as the clearing price. That is usually less than what you bid, and never more than your bid. You only ever pay if you win, and you pay the sponsoring firm directly for the funded account. By placing a bid you agree to complete that purchase with the firm at the clearing price if you are selected.

Bid mechanics

One entry per person, per event. Within that entry:

  • Place your opening bid while the event is upcoming or live.
  • Once the event is live you can raise as often as you like — there is no limit on raises.
  • Every new bid must clear the shown minimum (a small step above the current price to win) and must strictly increase your previous bid — bids never go down.
  • Your latest bid is the one that counts.
  • Bids must be a whole-dollar amount, within the bid range shown on the event page.
  • Bidding closes when the event ends — once the draw runs, no further bids are accepted.

We reserve the right to disqualify entries from duplicate or spoofed accounts, or from any activity aimed at gaining bids or entries outside these rules.

How winners are selected

If the number of eligible entrants is less than or equal to the number of accounts being given away, everyone who bid wins — there’s no competition. Otherwise, winners are chosen by bid amount, highest first, until the slots are filled. When entrants tie for the last remaining slot or slots, the tie is broken using a cryptographically secure random number generator (CSPRNG) — not a manual or discretionary choice. The participant list and the draw method used are recorded for every event.

Results and fulfillment

After a draw, the full result is recorded, and an auditable winner report is compiled for the firm — who then contacts winners directly to issue accounts. Futures Insider hosts and promotes the event; we are not the issuer of the funded account, not a payment processor, and not a party to whatever agreement or evaluation terms exist between you and the firm. Once a report is compiled, contact, onboarding, and any account terms are entirely the sponsoring firm’s responsibility.

Disqualification rights

We can disqualify an entry, a bid, or an account from a given event — before or after a draw — if we find it violates these rules or our Terms of Service, including duplicate accounts, spoofed identities, or attempts to manipulate the bidding or draw process. Where a disqualification changes the outcome of a draw, we may re-run the affected portion of the draw under the same method described above.

Changes and cancellation

A firm or Futures Insider may change an event’s details before it starts, or cancel an event, at our reasonable discretion — for example if a firm withdraws its sponsorship. If an event is cancelled after bidding has opened, no bid carries any obligation or entitlement, since a bid was never a payment in the first place.

Disputes
